Set in the Laurelhurst neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful mature trees, our clients wanted their kitchen and mudroom to feel more connected to their surroundings. By moving and installing a gorgeous new natural doug fir exterior door and sidelight, we expanded not only the view into the backyard but were able to fully utilize an adjacent wall for additional storage including a large apron sink, dishwasher, beverage fridge, and two countertop hutches for our client's dishware and coffee gear.

 

New cabinetry with interior organizers were added for increased functionality as well as new Mont Blanc quartzite countertops, brass fixtures and hardware throughout. The new walnut curved island allows for smooth circulation around the kitchen plus seating for three and veggie/ cutlery storage close to the range. In the mudroom, we designed a full height pantry cabinet with roll trays and drawers and added a wall between the kitchen and mudroom to better separate the two areas.
